Positive Discipline program helps the parents to eliminate physical and humiliating punishment against their children. It analyses the problems that parents face during raising process in a way enabling them to find solutions easily. Moreover, the program includes recommendations that can reduce the children problems that may happen in future. Positive Discipline helps parents to know more about their child growth and gives instructions in parenting which can be followed in solving other problems. It also helps them to  be aware of the extent of their children response to these instructions. The concept of Positive Discipline was introduced as a response to the recommendations of UN global report on the violence against children which called for eradicating  corporal and other forms of humiliating punishment against their children.

Since Save the Children vision is a world in which every child attains the right to    survival, protection, development and participation, Save the Children trained trainers from the organization’s partners working in Child Protection on Positive Discipline. Together Foundation for Development and Human Rights, one of  CP partners, organized with the support of Save the Children a training workshop on Positive Discipline for the parents of children placed at Dar Al- Tawjeeh for Boys, Al- Amanh during the period 17th – 28th October, 2014.19 (9 males- 10 females) of juveniles’ parents were equipped with knowledge about Positive Discipline concept in daily raising process.
